Title:Carry-on Portable Oxygen Concentrators

Scope: This SAE Aerospace Standard applies to all portable oxygen concentrators (POC) to be supplied and used by patients using supplemental oxygen therapy while on board civil aircraft. It covers battery or aircraft powered POCs that are not intended to be connected to the aircraft鈥檚 oxygen systems or to be used by aircraft personnel in any method of treatment or first aid of the general flying public. The rules apply to both the aircraft operator and the passenger using the POC on board the aircraft.
