【摘要】:Inmostoftheiruses,insulatingoilsarecontinuallyincontactwithmetalsthataresubjecttocorrosion.Thepresenceofcorrosivesulfurcompoundswillresultindeteriorationofthesemetals.Theextentofdeteriorationisdependentuponthequantityandtypeofcorrosiveagentandtimeandtemperaturefactors.Detectionoftheseundesirableimpurities,eventhoughnotintermsofquantitativevalues,isameansforrecognizingthehazardinvolved.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesthedetectionofcorrosivesulfurcompounds(bothinorganicandorganic)inelectricalinsulatingoilsofpetroleumorigin.1.2Newandin-servicemineralinsulatingoilsmaycontainsubstancesthatcausecorrosionundercertainconditionsofuse.Thistestmethodisdesignedtodetectthepresenceof,orthepropensitytoform,free(elemental)sulfurandcorrosivesulfurcompoundsbysubjectingcoppertocontactwithoilunderprescribedconditions.1.3Twomethods(AandB)havebeenintroducedwherehistoricallytherehasonlybeenone.MethodAistheonethathasbeeninplacesince1953.MethodBismorerigorousandthepreferredmethod.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Inch-poundunitsareincludedforinformationalpurposes.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
